Over the last year, I have had the privilege of getting to know Ben Chin through both my classes at Bates College and my political involvement.

For the past six months, I have worked with Ben and several Bates friends conducting research on the landlords in the downtown area. Ben’s commitment and willingness to listen to both me and to the residents of the downtown, whose voices are often silenced, is phenomenal.

I came to Lewiston as a student and working with Ben has helped me see the potential this city has and made me decide to stay here this summer to volunteer locally.

Ben has proven that he is a committed leader. I hope Lewiston residents join me in voting for Ben Chin for mayor on Nov. 3.
