Music from the Porch at Jay Baptist

JAY — Jay Baptist Church will serve a luncheon on the front lawn Sunday, July 12, at 5:30 p.m. followed at “Music from the Porch” at 6 p.m.

Everyone is welcome.

The quarterly business meeting will be held Tuesday, July 14.

School house now open

POLAND — Poland’s Historical Society schoolhouse is now open from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. on every Thursday in July and August.

Oxford Hills Duplicate Bridge lists results

OXFORD — Oxford Hills Duplicate Bridge Club meets Fridays at 9:15 a.m. in the recreation building on King Street.

On July 3, an 8½ Mitchell movement was played.

Finishing first in flight A N/S were Milt McKeen and Rick Verrill, who also were first in flight B; second in flight A were Rosemarie Goodwin and Luke Merry; third were Linda Smith and Jack Neal, who also were second in flight B and first in flight C; and fourth in flight A were Bailey Geeslin and Mike Quinn.

Third in flight B were Kathy Feld and Denny Raymond, who also were second in flight C; and fourth in B were Shelly and David Malinski, who also were third in flight C.

Finishing first in flight A E/W were Hazel Glazier and Marta Clements, second were Neenie Kivus and David Lock; third were Nancy Farmer and Richard Balian; fourth were Pat Soule and Georgette Jewell, who also were first in flights B and C. Second in B were Cindy and Bob Kirchherr, who also were second in flight C; third in B were Diana and Frank Ferland; and fourth in B were Cynthia Clifford and Claire.
