FARMINGTON — Selectmen voted Tuesday to amend the town’s Traffic Ordinance to limit parking at three lots owned by Franklin Savings Bank on Front Street, Town Manager Richard Davis said Wednesday.

The vote followed a public hearing.

One change restricts public use of two lots on the west side of Front Street. The west side is on the left driving from the end of Front Street near McDonald’s toward the former Granary.

Public parking is limited to 6 p.m. to midnight, Monday through Friday, and from 6 a.m. to midnight Saturdays and Sundays.

The other change is on the east side of the road in the parking lot next to the stairway that connects Front Street to Main Street. Parking will be limited to two hours, Davis said.

Parking is not allowed in the three lots from midnight to 6 a.m. Overnight parking is also prohibited on the lots, he said.

Following a second public hearing, selectmen approved a new liquor license for Tuck’s Ale House LLC at 160 Main St., Davis said. There was one change to the application filed by owners Nathan Morin of Industry and Nathan Paling of New Sharon. The hours will be from 11 a.m. to 1 a.m. instead of 3 to 11 p.m., he said.

In other matters, the board voted to award the contract for sealing cracks in town roads to Shamos Sealcoating of Standish for the low bid of $7,500. The budget for it was $10,000. The second-lowest bid was from Coastal Road Repair of Windham for $15,975.

Selectmen also agreed to purchase an ad in the Western Maine Edition of the 2015 “Paper Talks”Magazine to honor Farmington veterans. The cost is $382, Davis said.
