LISBON FALLS — The Lisbon United Methodist Church, 14 School St., will host a history night at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 11.

The guest speaker will be Merton Ricker, Lisbon Historical Society vice president and the former organist and choir director of the Lisbon and Lisbon Falls Methodist Churches.

Ricker will share memories, photos and other memorabilia of the two churches’ histories. Several of his ancestors were among church founders.

Following Ricker’s presentation there will be time for sharing thoughts and memories. The event will be videotaped for historic preservation purposes.

The public is invited to attend. Doors will open at 6:30 p.m., and attendees are encouraged to bring notes, photos, or artifacts to post on a timeline that includes both churches.
