Lion of Judah’s grand opening
RUMFORD — Lion of Judah Ministries of 26 Oxford Ave. will celebrate its grand opening from noon to 5 p.m. Saturday, July 25, at Hosmer Field.
There will be children’s activities, games, old-fashioned fun, prizes, refreshments like hot dogs, freeze pops and cup cakes and worship music by Judah Praise.

OTISFIELD — A retirement party for Otisfield Administrative Assistant Marianne Izzo-Morin will be held Saturday, July 25, from 1 to 4 p.m. at Otisfield Community Hall on Route 121.
Church to hold blueberry festival
GREENWOOD — Locke Mills Union Church will host a blueberry festival from 7:30 to 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 1.
Blueberries, pancakes, pies and sundaes will be available along with baked goods. The event may end early if it sells out.
Grange to hold public supper
JAY — North Jay Grange will hold a public supper from 4 to 6 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 1.
Baked beans, casseroles, salads, fruit salads, coleslaw, meats, breads, beverages and desserts will be served. Terry Moore will provide music.
The cost for this event is $7 for adults, and $3 for children younger than 10.

Pork Supper Aug. 1
RUMFORD — Blazing Star Lodge will host a roast pork supper from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 1, in Rumford Point.
Admission is $8 for adults, $5 for children ages 5 to 12, and free for children 4 or younger.
Bean-hole supper planned
STRONG — The Porter Lake Association will hold its 46th annual Bean-Hole Bean Supper Saturday, Aug. 1, at Strong Beach on Porter Lake from 5 to 6:30 p.m.
In case of rain, the event will take place at the Forster Building.
Ticket prices are $6 for adults, $3 for children ages 5 to 11 and free for kids younger than 5. Proceeds will support activities beneficial to the lake, its users, and the lake environment.
The menu includes bean-hole baked beans, franks, rolls and beverages, and a wide variety of salads and desserts. Attendees are asked to consider bringing a salad or dessert to share.
Strong Beach can be reached from Route 234 by turning onto Pond Road and then right again onto Beanie’s Beach Road.
Turkey dinner planned in Paris
PARIS — A roast turkey dinner with all the fixin’s and homemade pies will be held at 5 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 1, at Deering Memorial Methodist Church, 39 Main St.
Cost is $8 for adults and $4 for children under 12.
Parking is available behind the library and town office.
