Evelyn Chamberlain was pleasantly surprised by a weeklong visit from her oldest grandson, Fred Kotthaus Jr. from Grand Ridge, Fla. He last visited her in 1990, when he came to help celebrate her 70th birthday.  July 11, 2015, was her 95th.  Evelyn’s immediate family held a barbecue. They finished with cake and ice cream.
Fred took Evelyn and her sister, Beryl Oja, to visit  their other two sisters in Mason Township, Iva Grover and Susie Abbott, where they were treated to a roast pork dinner with lots of fresh vegetables.
Fred and his brother, Dale,who lives in North Paris, went for a ride to the height of land, Rangeley. They had hoped to see a moose or a deer, but were disappointed. He was entertained by his uncle, Grayden Chamberlain, and his family.
The Warren family had their 30th annual family reunion Sunday, July 19, at the Hebron Pines. There were 211 people attending. Regina Hutchinson, Dick and Polly Jones’s daughter, made the quilt. It was red, white and blue with a sign in the middle that said “F. Milton Warren Family Est. 1927.”
Beryl’s rug sold for $270.  Esther’s rug $300.  Polly’s apple pie went for over $20. My Strawberry rhubarb $37.

Erlon Hadley was recently a patient in the Central Maine Medical Center hospital.
