FREEPORT — Southern Maine Geriatrics Associates of Freeport recently welcomed geriatrician Dr. Karen Saylor.

Saylor graduated from the State University of New York at Stony Brook with a Bachelor of Science degree in biology and received her medical doctorate from State University of New York at Syracuse, Health Sciences Center. She completed her residency in internal medicine at Christiana Care Health Systems and a fellowship in geriatric medicine from the University of Washington, Harborview Medical Center. She is board certified in internal medicine and geriatric medicine.

She relocated to Maine from Pennsylvania with her husband and two children. She enjoys spending time with her family when she’s not caring for SMGA’s patients.

She cares for patients at Hawthorne House and Freeport Place in Freeport, Horizons Living and Rehab in Brunswick and at the Maine Veterans’ Home in South Paris.
