Ark holding presentation about pain

LEWISTON — Family herbalist Jane Kuntz will present a program, “Pain — Are Pills the Answer?,” from 5:30 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 1 and 8, at The Ark and Olive Branch Cafe, 791 Lisbon St. The presentation is aimed at those suffering headaches, gout, back pain, fibromyalgia, or any other “itis.” Cost is $10 a class. Lifetree Cafe program on sex abuse

LEWISTON —Lifetree Cafe will host a program, “Blowing the Whistle on Abuse: One Courageous Teenage Girl Tells Her Story,”at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 3. The program includes a film of a young woman who was abused by her father for 11 years and will explore ways to break the cycle of abuse.

Admission to the 60-minute event is free. Snacks and beverages are available. Lifetree Cafe is located at the South Lewiston Baptist Church 1919 Lisbon Road.

Cribbage league to begin play

LEWISTON — The Lewiston Senior Cribbage League will start on Thursday, Sept. 3, promptly at 9 a.m. at Lewiston Memorial Armory, Central Avenue.
