HARRISON/BRIDGTON — Harrison and Bridgton Recreation are hosting a fall foliage adventure to Meredith, N.H., on Saturday, Sept. 19.
Folks will travel with Northeast Charter Tour to Meredith to board the train on the Winnipesaukee Scenic Railroad for a two-hour round trip excursion along the shores of the lake. A turkey dinner will follow at Hart’s Turkey Farm.
The coach bus will then transport guests through Lincoln, with a stop at the Hobo Railroad to visit the “Corn Stalk Critters,” which are life-sized scarecrows depicting famous musical artists, created by the Annalee Doll Co. They will travel home via the Kancamagus Highway.
Cost is $45 for residents of Harrison and Bridgton and $60 for out-of-town guests. Deadline to register is Monday, Sept. 7. Those interested in participating should call Paula at 5830-2241 or Gary at 647-8786.
