TURNER — SAD 52 Adult & Community Education is offering a selection of classes this fall. There are classes that will help gain academic skills, expand horizons and enrich lives.

Classes that start the week of Sept. 14 include:

Art of Creative Watercolor: Learn how to control and mix paint. Beginners to semi-pros can finish a composition to mat. A materials list is available for the  new class.

Beyond the Point & Shoot Camera: Back again, the class covers the basic and advanced controls of a digital camera. Camera mode and PASM will be covered. Learn about the shooting menu, the importance of histogram and white balance. Bring a digital DSLR camera to class.

Zumba® Fitness for YOU: Mix low-intensity and high-intensity moves for an interval-style, calorie-burning dance fitness party.

Meditation to Ease the Mind: Discover ways to calm the mind and body. Become exposed to new ways of approaching meditation and learn to live with a more peaceful mindset.

Dog Obedience: Train a dog to be well mannered and obedient. Learn basic obedience commands, leash walking and behavior modification. Requirements: nonchain leashes, well-fitting collar and current rabies shots.

Kids Painting, Drawing & Collage: Children can learn playful and exciting techniques introducing the basics of expressionist painting. One line and contour drawing help students begin to see things in a whole new way. Explore color, composition, painting and collage using the masters as a starting point for learning.

Middle Eastern/Belly Dance Session 1: Belly dancing is a way to work core muscles while learning an ancient art form. Hip scarves are provided.

Welding: Master the techniques of welding in a class that will address individual needs. Beginning and advanced students can prepare for state certification and this course may be taken for credit. Students need steel-toe shoes and safety glasses.
