NORWAY — The 2015-2016 church year at First Universalist Church of Norway begins at 11 a.m., Sunday, Sept. 13, with the traditional water communion service led by the Rev. Fayre Stephenson. Those attending should bring a small amount of water from a place that is special to them. During the service, the water will be poured into a large bowl. Each person may offer why the water is special. A social time follows each service. Religious education youth programs and child care are available.

Itinerant Quaker minister Jennifer Wixson leads the Sept. 20 service with “Listening to Crickets.” Peaceful contemplation on a daily basis seems like a luxury; however, now more than ever we need to take time out of our busy lives for prayer and meditation.

On Sept. 27, the Rev. Stephenson will offer insight on “vocation” and “calling.” The service will explore the differing ideas of vocation and calling and how they affect our lives, our spirits and the life of the church.

The First Universalist Church of Norway is located at 479 Main St. For more information, call the church office at: 207-743-2828; email: [email protected]; online: www.norwayuu.org.
