NORWAY — The Oxford County Wellness Collaborative is providing free trainings for people who would like to facilitate gatherings around Oxford County.

Trainings are being offered on the following times and dates:

• From 8:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m., Friday, Sept. 18, Sacopee Valley Health Center, 70 Main St., Porter.

• From 8:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 19, Norway Town Office, 19 Danforth St., Norway.

The training was developed to support “hosts” for the Collaborative’s Healthy Community Gatherings but are appropriate for anyone wanting to build interpersonal skills and experience with public leadership. It does not require a commitment to participate in the Healthy Community Gatherings work.

Food will be provided at the trainings, and financial help is available to cover transportation and childcare expenses. To register for a host training, or for more information, call Brendan Schauffler at (207) 739-6222 or email [email protected]. If the trainings are not at a convenient time, call Schauffler for future opportunities.

The Oxford County Wellness Collaborative is currently administered by Healthy Oxford Hills, a Healthy Maine Partnership and a project of Stephens Memorial Hospital.
