LOVELL — The Charlotte Hobbs Library will offer an eight-week course taught by Jo Radner, past president of the National Storytelling Network, for adults interested in exploring storytelling techniques.
In “The Art of Storytelling: A Playful Workshop for Grown-Ups,” participants will discover and nurture their storytelling talents. The students will explore classic folktales, experiment with storytelling games and learn new ways of mining their memories for their own narratives. Participants will develop their individual goals in the class and will learn how to find, create and shape stories and practice effective storytelling techniques.
The course will meet from 1 to 3 p.m. on Tuesdays from Oct. 20 through Dec. 1. Together, the group will plan a final celebratory event. The class is open to all.
The class is free, but registration is required. Participants can register at the Charlotte Hobbs Library or by calling 207-925-3177.
