WATERFORD — Waterford Library will host a Sound of Music Sing A-long fundraiser in celebration of 50 years of the movie, “The Sound of Music,” Saturday, Oct. 10. The event will raise money for the library.

Those attending should dress as a character from the movie for the costume contest. The movie will be shown outdoors. Fresh brats and other food will be available. There will be a biergarten, music, a Julie Andrews look-a-like contest, drawings and activities for kids and prizes.

Tickets are available at the Waterford Library before the event, or at the door.

Tickets cost $6 for adults, $2.50 for those younger than 20, and free for children younger than eight.

The library has also announced that at 2 p.m. Mondays, it will host knitting; at 6 p.m. Wednesdays, it will host Minecraft; and at 9 a.m. Fridays, it will host Coffee Cafe.

The library will host an adult coloring night at 7 p.m. on the last Wednesday of the month. Refreshments welcome.

On the fourth Wednesday of the month at 10 a.m., there will be a book discussion.
