1969 – 2015

HARTFORD — Dale Kenneth McNeil, 46, of Hartford, passed away peacefully, Thursday, Sept. 17, at his home.

He was born to Henry “Ted” P. and Joyce C. (Gammon) McNeil on April 20, 1969, in Lewiston. He was a lifelong resident of Hartford, and graduated from the Buckfield Junior-Senior High School.

Upon graduating with the Class of 1987, he started work at Hahnel Bros. Company. He worked long, hard hours, took great pride in his work and was very proud of working for that company. We wish to thank them for their kindness to him over the years.

Among many things he will be remembered for are his desires to provide a home and caring nature for his beloved daughter, Karen, whom he loved very deeply. He worked very hard over the years to build his home and enjoyed being home and working around his property.

He was a member of the local Whitney Masonic Lodge No. 167 in Canton.

Words cannot express how much Dale will be forever loved and missed by his daughter, Karen; brothers, Kenneth McNeil of South Paris, Alan “Bim” McNeil of Hartford, Dennis McNeil of Jay, Clifford McNeil of Sumner and Jeffrey McNeil of Hebron; special friends, Ron Hoffman, Wayne Gammon, Deb Salisbury, Randy Gammon, Betty Meader and Joe Bedard, just to name a few; and many other friends in the community who have helped and cared in deeply special ways throughout the years. Thank you.

He was predeceased by his father, Henry “Ted” P. McNeil.
