POWNAL — A concert by Tedd Fish will be held at 9 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 4, at North Pownal United Methodist Church, 851 Lawrence Road.
Fish’s music ministry extends over many years as a speaker, pastor and concert artist.
He has travelled extensively around New England and beyond.
He will perform a blend of songs from the past and the present.
His combination of life stories, music and humor with his rich baritone voice will be a blessing to all.
The heart of the message will take worshipers from grief to relief, from loss to gain, to Jesus, the saviour and friend.
Bouchard guest speaker at Paris church
PARIS — The First Universalist Church on Pine Street welcomes Sharon Bouchard as guest speaker Sunday, Oct. 4.
The title of Bouchard’s 10 a.m. worship service is “The Power of Forgiveness.”
Music is under the direction of Donna Hurd and Sunday School is under the direction of Renee Wales.
Coffee and fellowship will follow the worship service and all are welcome. Childcare is available and the church is wheelchair accessible.
Fall holiday sale is Oct. 10
PARIS — The United Methodist Women will hold their fall and Christmas sale from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 10, at Deering Memorial Methodist Church, 39 Main St.
There will be crafts, gifts, a cookie walk, Mrs. Claus’ closet and Rada.
Free community luncheon in Farmington
FARMINGTON — The Old South First Congregational Church in Farmington will serve its monthly free community luncheon at noon Saturday, Oct. 10.
The menu for this month includes shepherd’s pie, rolls and pumpkin spice cake.
Delivery service will be available in Farmington. Call the church office, 207-778-0424, during the week or the church kitchen, 207-778-4438, on the morning of the luncheon to have a meal delivered.
Farmington church to host public supper
FARMINGTON — Trinity United Methodist Church will host a public supper from 4:30 to 6 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 10.
Baked beans and casserole will be served.
The cost is $7 for adults and $3.50 for age 12. Ages 12 and younger are free.

SUMNER — The Congregational Church of East Sumner, 50 Main St., will hold its monthly supper at 5:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 10.
