MEXICO — The Stephens High School Class of 1950 will meet for a luncheon at 11:30 a.m. Monday, Oct. 12, at the Covered Wagon.

Supper dance at American Legion

LOCKE MILLS — There will be a harvest supper and dance from 5 to 9:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 13, at the American Legion Hall in Locke Mills.

Music will be by the Jones Band. Doors open at 4 p.m.

The cost for supper for adults is $7; supper and dance, $12; child, $3.

Museum celebrates director’s birthday

RANGELEY — The Wilhelm Reich Museum will celebrate the 90th birthday of its Executive Director Marry Higgins with a potluck dinner at 5 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 13, at the Conference Center at Orgonon.

Norway Memorial Library hosting discussion

NORWAY — Norway Memorial Library will host a talk on the book, “Lost in Translation: A Life in a New Language,” by Ava Hoffman as part of its four-part book discussion.

The talk will take place at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 13.

Participants are not required to have read the previous books as each book in the series is a stand-alone. The facilitator for the series is Robert Farnsworth, professor of English at Bates College.

Watch party for Democratic debate

NORWAY — A watch party for the first Democratic presidential debate will be held at the Commons, 447 Main St., beginning at 8 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 13.

From 8 to 9 p.m., food and drinks will be served. The debate begins at 9 p.m.

There will be opportunities both before and after the debate to discuss issues. Diversity of opinions is welcome.
