1929 – 2015

GREENE — Pauline F. Beckey, 86, a longtime resident of Greene, passed away peacefully Friday morning, Oct. 9, at her home surrounded by her loving family.

She was born June 30, 1929, in Lewiston, the daughter of Harold Sr. and Edith (Merrill) Footman. She was a 1947 graduate of Lewiston High School. She married the love of her life, Robert Beckey, on Aug. 22, 1949, in Greene.

Pauline worked many various jobs in the area, most recently retiring from Town and Country Foods in Greene. She enjoyed crocheting, cooking, bowling, making pickles and jams, and was especially known for her apple and blueberry pies. Pauline was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother, and loved having get-togethers with family and friends.

She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Bob Beckey; children, Sandy Arthur and her husband, Pat, Timothy Beckey and Angela Beckey, and daughter-in-law, Bobbie Beckey, all of Greene; nine grandchildren, Nick, Missy, Natalie, Amanda, John, Valarie, Matthew, Vanessa and Andrea; 13 great-grandchildren; sisters, Ruby Austin and her husband, Horton, of Wales and Sharon Ray of Greene; and many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her parents; brother, Harold Footman Jr.; infant sister, Lorraine Footman; and her son, Ralph Peter Beckey.
