Rangeley Church turkey supper

RANGELEY — The annual Rangeley Congregational Church Mission Board turkey supper will be held at 5 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 24, at “the Barn” on High Street.

Roast turkey, gravy, mashed potatoes, green bean casserole, stuffing, homemade rolls and cranberry sauce will be served. Homemade apple crisp with whipped cream will be served for dessert. 

The dinner will be served home-style. The cost is $8 for adults, $5 for children younger than 12.

All proceeds will be used for the church’s mission work.

Sons of Italy meeting

RUMFORD — The Sons of Italy will have its regular meeting at 3 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 25, at the Hall on Route 108. A light lunch will be served.

Longaberger bingo set in Norway

NORWAY — Longaberger bingo will benefit Responsible Pet Care Sunday, Oct. 25, in the Norway Legion Hall on Main Street.

Doors will open at 11 a.m., and bingo will start at 12:30 p.m. There will be coverall games, raffle baskets, a 50/50 raffle and refreshments.

Tickets are $10 for 16 games of regular bingo.

Animal Advocates to meet

DIXFIELD — The River Valley Animal Advocates will hold its fifth annual members meeting Sunday, Oct. 25, in back of the Dixfield Fire Station. 

The Advocates will vote for members of the board from 12:30 to 2 p.m., and the board of directors will meet from 2:30 to 3 p.m.

The meeting will be the sixth anniversary of the organization’s founding meeting, which occurred in 2009. 

Democrats meeting Oct. 25

NORWAY — The Oxford County Democrats will meet at 4 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 25, at the Norway Town Office.

The meeting will include general business with reports on recent activities, candidate recruitment and planning for the presidential caucuses on March 6.

The meeting is open to registered Democrats as well as those interested in working to elect Democrats.

Hydrotherapy class Oct. 25

TURNER — Randy and Heather Emerson will offer a free class, Introduction to Hydrotherapy, from noon to 3 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 25, at the Turner Seventh Day Adventist Church, 106 Weston Road.

Class participants will learn how to do simple at-home treatments using water. Light refreshments will be served. Donations will be accepted.

Mahoosuc annual meeting set

BETHEL — The Mahoosuc Land Trust’s 26th Annual Meeting will be at 7 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 25, in the Ordway Living Room at Gould Academy.

After a brief business meeting, Gary Stern, who guided the Trust through its strategic planning, will speak about the future of the Trust.

The public is welcome to attend the program. A suggested donation of $5 is requested for those who are not Mahoosuc Land Trust donors.
