Upcountry Artists annual meeting Oct. 28
FARMINGTON — Upcountry Artists will host its all-members annual meeting at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 28, at 161 Main St.
All members and current board members are urged to attend this meeting, where the group will address board elections and activities for the upcoming year.
Hope Association Halloween dance
RUMFORD — The Hope Association will host a Halloween dance featuring Joe “The Music Man” Sirois from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 30, at 85 Lincoln Ave.
The event is open to the public. Refreshments will be available. Donations will be accepted.
Oxford Hills AARP
SOUTH PARIS — The Oxford Hills Chapter of AARP will meet at noon on Monday, Nov. 2, at the First Congregational Church on East Main Street.
Lunch will be served at noon and will feature pork with stuffing.
The cost is $7 and reservations are required by calling Ruth at 207-744-9069 by Friday, Oct. 30.
The business meeting will begin at 12:45 p.m. with the collection of dues for 2016. There will also be a collection for Christmas for Kids as well as a no-bake bake sale fundraiser. The book/puzzle swap will also continue.

West Parish Congregational Church supper
BETHEL — A community supper will be held at 6 p.m. Friday, Oct. 30, at West Parish Congregational Church, 32 Church St.
Meal includes baked beans, casseroles, rolls and homemade pies.
Donations will benefit the Smile Fund.
Doug, Andee, Ben and Chaia Alford will talk about their recent pilgrimage on the Santiago de Camino in Spain. They hiked 350 kilometers on this medieval trail, staying in hostels along the way.

Grange to host ‘souper’ supper
CHESTERVILLE — The Chesterville Grange will host a “souper” supper on Friday, Oct. 30, serving between 5 and 6:30 p.m.
Homemade soups, chowders and dessert will be offered.
Admission for adults is $5 and $2.50 for children.

Fall Festival, Christmas Fair Oct. 31
HARTFORD — A Fall Festival and Christmas Fair will be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 31, at Hartford Town Hall on Route 140.
Fall and Christmas gifts, fine jewelry, hand-painted lamps, handmade wooden furniture, crocheted items, food items, sandwiches, drinks, chips, homemade jellies and jams, homemade relish and other items will be for sale.
The Hartford Community Church Women’s Association is also collecting food items for the Hartford Food Bank. Those who can donate food items should bring them to the fair.

Halloween story time planned
NEW SHARON — The Jim Ditzler Memorial Library will hold a Halloween Story Time from 11 a.m. to noon Saturday, Oct. 31.
Kids may wear Halloween costumes and will listen to stories, make a Halloween craft and enjoy a snack.
Upcoming Story Times will be Saturdays, Nov. 21, Dec. 19, Jan. 23, 2016, Feb. 27, March 26, April 23 and May 21.

RUMFORD — The Rumford Post 24 will host a Halloween dance on Saturday, Oct. 31, featuring the band, Hot Flash!
