LEWISTON — A student group at Bates College will present fireworks over the college’s Lake Andrews starting at about 9 p.m. Saturday, May 6.

Sangai Asia, an organization promoting Asian and Asian-American awareness, identity and fellowship at Bates, sponsors a fireworks show near the end of every academic year. A performance of taiko drumming will precede the fireworks this year.

The rain date is Saturday, May 20.
