Parents to explore Internet safety

FARMINGTON — Mt. Blue Regional School District will offer a workshop for parents on digital citizenship and Internet safety.

Guest speakers and school personnel will present information on social media, privacy, cyberbullying, and more. Books and flyers will be available for parents to take home.

The same program will be offered at Mt. Blue Campus in the forum on Tuesday, Nov. 3, and at Mt. Blue Middle School Wednesday, Nov. 4. The program will run from 6:30 to 7:30 with time for questions afterward.

Heritage Club to meet

RUMFORD — The Lithuanian Heritage Club will hold its monthly meeting at noon Wednesday, Nov. 4, at Sam’s Italian Sandwich Shop on Route 2.

PARIS — The Floyd A. Harlow Jr. VFW Post 9787 will meet at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 4, at 58 East Main St.

Stephens High ’56 to meet

RUMFORD — Stephens High School Class of 1956 will hold its luncheon at noon Thursday, Nov. 5, at the River Valley Grill, Route 2.

Mannix to speak at Rumford Library

RUMFORD — Kevin Mannix and his wife, Linda Rota, will speak about their book, “Weathering Shame,” at the Rumford Public Library at 3 p.m. Friday, Nov. 6.

They will share their personal journeys of shame and stigma from experiences living with loved ones with mental health challenges.

Fair seeks vendors

MEXICO — There will be a vendor/craft fair at the Apostolic Church, 9 Brown St., from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 14.

Music together accepting applications

FARMINGTON — Mount Blue Music Together is accepting registrations for enrollment in classes.

During classes, grownups experience movement and music along with their preschool children.

Music making at home is made easier by the CD, songbook and parent education materials included in the cost of tuition.
