As in years past, the festival, sponsored by Advocates for Children, will be held at the Multi-Purpose Center, 145 Birch St., Lewiston.
Spider-Man will share his personal safety message with children in a nonthreatening manner designed to empower youngsters.
Charette’s popular “Christmas Tree” cassette has now been released on CD. This recording features original songs and such holiday favorites as “Jingle Bells” and “Silent Night.” Moving along with the latest technology, his first video, “An Evening with Rick Charette,” will also be released on DVD in time for the holiday season.
This year’s festival will include a new presentation, “Fur, Feathers and Feet,” an animal education program from the Chewonki Foundation. It will be presented at 12:30 p.m.
Other festival highlights include the Mason’s child identification program, CHIPS, which will be available all day; crafts for children to make and take home; and a cake walk. Children will be able to play in the Castle, make balloon hats with the Balloon Lady, visit with Santa, and have lunch with Santa, Spider-Man and their friends.
Advance tickets are $3 for children age 2 and older; $5 for adults. They may be purchased at Hannaford Supermarkets in Auburn and Lewiston, or at Advocates for Children, 57 Birch St., Suite 204. Adult tickets at the door will be $7 each.
Advocates for Children is a participating United Way agency and a recipient of the Lewiston Community Development Block Grant.
