1929 – 2015

DAYTONA BEACH, FLA. — Florence Evelyn Turmel, 86, passed away on Sunday, Nov. 22, in Daytona Beach, Fla.

Florence was born in Meddybemps on March 2, 1929, the daughter of Ronald C. Cousins and Evelyn S. (Tarbell) Cousins. She was married in 1945 to Helon E. Turmel, her husband of 71 years, who survives her today. They made their home in Lewiston, Meddybemps, and Daytona Beach, Fla.

Florence enjoyed cooking, crocheting, winter sports and fishing. She was the office manager for the family business for over 25 years.

She is survived by her daughter, Nancy Nadeau; her son, Eric; two grandchildren; her sister, Shirley Boyd; many nieces and nephews and many, many friends.

She was a wonderful wife, mother and friend and will be dearly missed for her kindness and her sense of humor.
