1939 – 2015
LEWISTON — Barbara J. Berquist, 76, of Rumford, passed away on Thursday, Nov. 19, at Central Maine Medical Center.
She was born in Akron, Ohio, on Aug. 6, 1939, a daughter of Donald and Clare Treat.
She had a strong passion for kitties and birds. Barb loved music and played
numerous instruments. She also loved playing cards of any kind, crossword puzzles and crafting of any sort.
Barb was most recently working as a beloved cashier at the Wal-Mart in Mexico.
Barb was very proud of her family service members, including all four of her children and six of her grandchildren. She was very patriotic and loved that her family was as well.
She is survived by her sister, Patricia Clow of Schenectady N.Y.; four children, Joan Farrar of Wayne, Don Peters of Marietta, Ohio, Jerry Peters of Inverness, Fla., and Judi Goodall of Wetumpka, Ala.; seven grandchildren, Mark, Joshua, and Daniel Farrar, Kyle and Kassidy Peters, Matthew Peters, and Tyna Goodall; four great-grandchildren, Grayson, Leah, EvaLynn and Hailey; and her beloved kitty, Moe.
She was predeceased by her parents.
