During Mayor Bolster’s administration he made a point to have guide boards placed on all the streets. This was done some 15 years ago, and since that time nothing has been done to repair or replace the guide boards which naturally would become worn or broken in so long a time.”

•Millinocket – A nighttime burglary at a jewelry store in this northern Maine town netted thieves up to $2 million worth of gold jewelry and diamonds, police said Friday.
After breaking through a wall from an adjacent building, the burglars ripped open two safes inside Ferland’s Jewelry Store, cleaning out the valuables inside.
•New Hampshire cities and towns stand to loose thousands of dollars in the crackdown on Massachusetts cars illegally registered in New Hampshire, but car owners may get a break on insurance premiums.
Authorities in Massachusetts say they have tracked down 11,000 Bay State residents who had registered their vehicles in New Hampshire to escape the higher registration fees and municipal taxes in their home state.
