Ski Museum open house
KINGFIELD — The Ski Museum of Maine will host its annual open house from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 4, at 256 Main St.
Attendees can view exhibits, swap stories and meet board members. The event is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be served.

Fir tipping, wreath-making workshop
WAYNE — Dave Fuller will lead a balsam fir tipping and wreath-making workshop at 4 p.m. Friday, Dec. 4, at the Ladd Recreation Center.
Fuller is the Agriculture and Non-Timber Forest Products Professional with the University of Maine Cooperative Extension.
The balsam fir tipping field program will teach how to tip sustainably. It will be followed by an indoor wreath-making workshop. Fuller will discuss how to identify balsam fir, proper tipping methods, and how to make a balsam fir wreath.
Participants should bring hand shears and light gloves.
The cost is $5 for Kennebec Land Trust members and $10 for non-members. The maximum amount of participants is 20. Preregistration is required.

Fair to benefit scholarship fund
OTISFIELD — The Annual Christmas Fair for the Scholarship Fund at the East Otisfield Free Baptist Church will be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 5, at 231 Rayville Road.
The scholarship fund raises money to provide financial support to deserving and aspiring local college students from Otisfield, Casco, Norway and Mechanic Falls, all of whom have family members belonging to the church.
The Fair will include the ever popular Cookie Walk, Christmas table, craft items, “attic treasures,”and a bake sale.
The Christmas Fair will continue on Sunday, Dec. 6, after the church service.
Nezinscot Valley Holiday Fair
BUCKFIELD — The Nezinscot Valley Music Boosters will host the Nezinscot Valley Holiday Fair from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 5, at the Buckfield High School.
There will be nearly 100 local vendor booths. At 10 a.m., children my have photographs taken with Santa. Live music will be performed throughout the day.
Lunch items will include hot dogs, corn chowder, Italians and deserts.
Community supper planned in Sumner
SUMNER — The Congregational Church of East Sumner will hold a community casserole supper at 5:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 5, at 50 Main St., Route 219.
The supper will include breads, salads, dessert, coffee and punch, as well as a raffle of baked goods and household items. Proceeds will benefit the outreach mission of the Church, which includes the local community, world missions and youth camp scholarships. Donations are accepted for the meal.

Andover Firemen’s Association hosting craft fair
ANDOVER — The Andover Firemen’s Association will host a craft fair from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 5, at the Andover Fire Station. Santa Claus, Mrs. Claus and the elf will arrive at 2 p.m.

ANDOVER — First Congregational Church of Andover will hold a Christmas fair from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 5.
Included will be a bake sale, crafts and other vendors. Lunch will be available.
First Saturday at the Williams House
WAYNE — The next First Saturday at the Williams House is set from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, Dec. 5, at 14 Old Winthrop Road.
There will be a book sale, boutique and breakfast.
All proceeds benefit the Wayne Library Association.
