1940 – 2015
RUMFORD — Jeanne Johnson, 75, of Essex Avenue, Rumford, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, Dec. 4, at Rumford Hospital.
She was born in Saint Damase, Quebec, on Nov. 8, 1940, a daughter of Noel and Adrienne (Gamache) Lord.
Jeanne was employed as a teacher in St. Damase De L’islet prior to marrying her husband, John B. Johnson, on Sept. 9, 1967. She had been a resident of Rumford since 1974. Jeanne was a communicant of Parish of the Holy Savior.
She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, whom she thought the world of, and visiting family in Canada.
Jeanne was a great cook and always had a smile on her face and had a warm word for everyone. She also loved tending to her plants and flower garden.
Surviving are her children, Mark Johnson of Mexico, and Vikky Milledge and husband, John, of Rumford; sisters, Noella Belanger and husband, Emillien, Victoire Lord and companion, Ghyslain Pellerin, Florence Pelletier and husband, Andre, and Lise Fortin and husband, Alain, all of Quebec; brothers, Jacques Lord and wife, Suzanne, and Vallier Lord, both of Quebec; and two grandchildren, Jesse Milledge and Dalton Milledge, both of Rumford.
She was predeceased by her parents; her husband, John; three brothers, Roland Lord, Clement Lord and Clairemont Lord; and two sisters, Marie Lord and Jacinthe Chouinard.
