FARMINGTON – The River City Salon Orchestra and friends of the Bangor Symphony Orchestra will perform light classical music, waltzes, standards and songs from old Broadway Thursday, June 30, in Nordica Auditorium at the University of Maine.

The concert is in celebration of the third annual Kingfield POPS, an evening of familiar and patriotic music Saturday, July 2, at the Kennedy Farm on Route 142 in Kingfield. The Kingfield event will begin at 6 p.m., with gates opening at 5 p.m. Kingfield POPS tickets will be sold at the Farmington concert.

Tickets for the River City Salon Orchestra concert, scheduled to begin at 7:30 p.m., are $10 for adults, $8 for seniors, and $5 for youth 17 and under. For tickets, call 942-5555 or 1-800-639-3221. Tickets may also be purchased at Mickey’s Hallmark, Farmington; or Tranten’s Store, Kingfield.
