Nickel bingo to resume
PERU — Rumford Senior Citizens will resume Nickel bingo from 12:30 to 2 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays at the Old Peru school on Main Street.

Public luncheon set for Jan. 9
FARMINGTON — Old South First Congregational Church will serve its monthly free community luncheon at noon Saturday, Jan. 9, at 227 Main St.
This month’s menu consists of Stan’s “regionally famous” American chop suey, garlic bread and cake.

Rabies vaccination clinic planned
NORWAY — Responsible Pet Care will host a rabies vaccination and microchipping clinic from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 9, at the Norway Fire Station.
The rabies vaccination will cost $10, and microchipping will be $25.
The attending veterinarian will be Dr. Suzanne Best, DVM.

Snowmobile club to meet
DIXFIELD — The Poodunck Snow Club will meet at 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 10, at 32 Weld St.
The club will make final plans for the Think Snow Dance to be held Saturday, Jan. 16, at the Eagles.
All are welcome.
Free square dancing class offered
The community has an opportunity try square dancing for free when the Wilton Friendship Squares offers a free class from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Monday, Jan. 11, at the Wilton Academy school cafeteria, with a plus class from 8:30 to 9 p.m.
Classes are open through mid-May and are half-price for new students.

Rumford Seniors to host luncheon
PERU — The Rumford Senior Citizens will meet for a luncheon at 11:30 a.m. Monday, Jan. 11, at the old Peru school on Main Street.
The lunch will include beef stew with a biscuit and desert. Music will be provided by Jim Roy and friends.
Cost for the luncheon is $6 for members and $7 for non-members.

Buttons 4 Babes meetings
JAY — Buttons 4 Babes volunteers meet at Otis Federal Credit Union every second and fourth Tuesday from 12:30 to 3:30 p.m. in the community room on the first floor.
The Button Bee creates bracelets to raise funds for children in critical need and for the local homeless shelter. Materials are available and new volunteers are welcome.

Relay for Life team scrapbooking
RUMFORD — River Valley Relay For Life team Friends and Family Forever will hold a scrapbooking and craft day from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 16, at Dirigo High School.
Admission of $30 includes a light breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks. Space is limited, and reservations are required.
Assistance will be available to help bring in supplies in the morning, and dollies will be available that night. Those attending must bring an extension cord if it’s needed.
