LEWISTON — The Lewiston Republicans will meet to discuss upcoming Caucus and election of officers on Thursday Jan. 7, at the Androscoggin County Chamber of Commerce. Doors open at 6:30 p.m., and the meeting will start at 7 p.m.

Valentines being collected for veterans

LEWISTON — Tri County Mental Health is collecting Valentine’s cards from the public that will be distributed to veterans at Togus and at Maine nursing homes.

Valentines may be dropped off with Jerry DeWitt at 1155 Lisbon St. by Feb. 8.

Androscoggin Pomona Grange to meet

DANVILLE — Androscoggin Pomona Grange No. 1 will meet Wednesday, Jan. 6, at the Danville Junction Grange on Grange Street.

There will be a music program, a 50/50 raffle, door prize and attendance drawing. Supper will be held at 6:30 p.m. for $5. The meeting will begin at 7:30 p.m.

Pork supper offered in Auburn

AUBURN — VFW Post 1603 will host a pork supper from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Friday, Jan. 8, on Minot Ave.

Cost of the meal is $7 for adults and $3 for kids ages 3 to 12.

AMS students collecting toys

AUBURN — As part of a community service project, Auburn Middle School students will hold a stuffed animal, toy, coloring book drive from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday to Friday, Jan. 11 to 15, at the Auburn Middle School.

Students and the public may make donations at the school for the project.

Items collected in the project will be given to ill children at Central Maine Medical Center.

Cribbage leagues lists winners

LEWISTON — Lewiston Senior Citizens Cribbage League winners on Dec. 31 were, first place, Terry Chambers and Dennis Gosselin; second place, Don Haley and Marie Madore; third place, Norm Bissonnette and Robert Oliver; fourth place, Anita Maheux and Alan Treworgy; and, fifth place, Cindy Boyd and Diane Torres.

The Seniors play on Thursdays at the Lewiston Memorial Armory.
