McLean named to dean’s list at Alfred University

ALFRED, N.Y. — Reed S. McLean of Norway was named to the dean’s list for the fall 2015 semester at Alfred University. 

Students must earn a GPA of at least 3.5 to qualify for the dean’s list.

McLean is a junior in the School of Art and Design studying art and design.

A graduate of Oxford Hills Comprehensive High School, McLean is the son of Suzanne Best and Don McLean of Norway.

Auburn resident graduates from Clarion University

CLARION, Pa. — Jennifer Michel of Auburn graduated from Clarion University on Dec. 12 with an Information and Library Science degree.

Samantha Sgroi named to dean’s list

NEWTON, Mass. — Lasell College recently named Samantha Sgroi of Lovell to the Lasell College dean’s list for the fall 2015 semester.

Sgroi, whose major is accounting, is a member of the Class of 2017 and among 726 students honored in the fall 2015 semester.

To be named to the dean’s list, each student must be full time carrying 12 or more graded credits for the semester with a GPA of 3.5 or above.

Students named to the University of Vermont dean’s list

BURLINGTON, Vt. — Local students have been named to the fall 2015 dean’s list at the University of Vermont. To be named to the dean’s list, students must have a GPA of 3.0 or better and rank in the top 20 percent of their class in their respective college or school.

The students include:

• Aaron Kane: Kane, of Auburn, is a Japanese major in UVM’s College of Arts & Sciences.

• Jason Haynes: Haynes, of Bethel, is a sociology major in UVM’s College of Arts & Sciences.

• Morgan Wilson: Wilson, of Sumner, is a medical laboratory sciences major in UVM’s College of Nursing & Health Sciences.

• Emily Listowich: Listowich, of Kingfield is a natural resources major in UVM’s Rubenstein School of Environment & Natural Resources.
