LISBON — The first Beaver Park Winter Festival will be held Saturday, Jan. 23. Events will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., including ice carving, snow sculpting and dog sled rides. The L.L. Bean Outdoor Discovery School will be on hand with snowshoes for the kids.
There will be hot food and drink in the lodge and the woodstove will be going. A bonfire will be available to warm the hands after snowshoeing in the field. Those attending are invited to bring their own cross country skis or snowshoes and explore Beaver Park. Entrance to the park is free for this event and leashed pets are welcome.
Call to reserve a time for a dog sled ride at $10 a person.There is a limited number of spaces available. If a family or fellow employees would like to compete in the annual snow-sculpting competition, they are asked to call the office to reserve a spot. There will be 10 snow sculpting forms available for teams of three or more.
