New Auburn group to hear speaker

AUBURN — The United New Auburn Association Inc. will meet at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 26, at Rolly’s Diner.

Speaker will be Auburn Library Director Mamie Anthoine Ney, who will discuss the library programs, books, community spaces and computer lab. She will also talk about upcoming programs, including the NASA exhibit, a collaboration with the Boys’ and Girls’ Club and summer reading. Questions will follow.

The meetings are open to all Auburn residents.

Scrapbooking Day announced

LEWISTON — A Paper Crafting and Scrapbooking Day benefit will be held from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 6, in the Dominican Room of Saints Peter and Paul Basilica, Bartlett Street.

Snow date will be Saturday, Feb. 13.

Council 106, Knights of Columbus, is sponsoring the event. Proceeds will benefit the St. Martin de Porres Homeless Residence. The cost of $35 includes lunch.

There will be snacks, drawings and two make-and-take projects.

Neighborhood watch meeting

AUBURN — A neighborhood watch meeting will take place at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 28, at the St. Louis Church building.

Park in the upper lot on Third Street. Enter from back side, upper floor.

Storm date will be Feb. 25.
