LEWISTON — Funeral services honoring the life of Sister Rita E. Bourassa, O.S.U., were celebrated by the Rev. Paul Dumais and concelebrated by both the Rev. James Roy and the Rev. Christopher Piselli at St. Mary’s Maison Marcotte Chapel.

During Mass, fellow Ursuline Sister Maria Bernier, O.S.U., proclaimed a reading from the Old Testament and Dominican Sister Renee Turcotte, O.P., proclaimed a New Testament reading. The Prayer of the Faithful was recited by Sister Maria Bernier, O.S.U.

At the conclusion of Mass, all in attendance were invited to a reception of fellowship at Maison Marcotte Conference Center in Lewiston. Burial will be held later in the spring at Ursuline Sisters’ Cemetery in Waterville.
