AUBURN — Paula Thibodeau, director of SHAREcenter, a local nonprofit recyclable program, is asking residents to think of the center when doing spring cleaning.
The center, which has been in operation in the Auburn area for over 20 years, has as it mission to keep as many usable material out of the landfill as possible and get it into the hands of teachers, day cares, home-schoolers and other nonprofits for use in their classrooms and programs.
The center charges a small fee, and the groups may visit anytime during the school year and take whatever they need.
The center has hours in Auburn and Topsham:
Auburn, 33 Industry Ave., off Minot Avenue: 1 to 6 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday and 9 a.m. to noon the first and second Saturday.
Topsham, Building 376, Republic Avenue: 2:30 to 5:30 p.m. Wednesday and 9 a.m. to noon the third Saturday.
