BATH – Comedians Felon O’Reilly and Patty Ross will team up with Bath’s own funny man, Johnny Ater “the Paintah.” Their mission: to make you split a gut laughing.
The three will present “Comedy Jam” at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 19, at the Chocolate Church Arts Center.
Ross’ unique persona and bigger-than-life stage presence have attracted the attention of audiences, corporations and entertainment industry people.
Her charming sarcastic wit and no-holds-barred perspective on life’s everyday problems are components of a tough but lovable character she has created.
The American Comedy Awards nominated Ross for Best Female Guest Star in a sitcom for one of her appearances on “Roseanne.”
She was also the featured female performer at the gala of the 1997 “Just for Laughs” comedy festival in Montreal.
Ross performs regularly at the Comedy Store, Laugh Factory, and Improvisation in Los Angeles.
She has opened for Andrew Dice Clay and received a standing ovation from a convention of Montessori Nuns.
O’Reilly is known for his smooth style. Master of the misdirect, he hits hard and fast. With a mind that never stops, O’Reilly constantly creates original work based on his experiences involving life in the streets, crime, alcohol and substance abuse.
A motivational comedian, O’Reilly offers a message of hope through laughter.
He has performed at a number of comedy spots in New England, including regular performances at the Comedy Connection in Portland. He has opened for Bob Marley and will appear with him in the soon-to-be released films “Tough Hombres” and “Fugitive From Goldtown,” the first two of three films written and produced by comedian Quinn Collins.
Ater has been performing in the area (on stage, at Rogers Hardware and at various quick coffee stops) for a long time. He has also been involved in Bath’s Fourth of July parade, for the last five years, winning the most humorous title. Ater recently completed a workshop at the Comedy Connection in Portland.
