Local students named to Clarkson dean’s list
POTSDAM, N.Y. — The following students have been named to the dean’s list for the fall 2015 semester at Clarkson University:
Aimee E. Giffune of Turner, a senior majoring in chemical engineering.
Jared Gerard Lapierre of Poland, a junior majoring in mechanical engineering.
Keenan Joseph Lynch of Lewiston, a freshman majoring in mechanical engineering.
Timothy R. Morris of Raymond, a senior majoring in chemical engineering.
Christina Elizabeth Pollard of Raymond, a junior majoring in electrical engineering.
Nicholas John Rogers of Topsham, a sophomore majoring in civil engineering and environmental engineering.
Alyssa M. Rousseau of Lewiston, a freshman majoring in biology.
Dean’s list students must achieve a minimum 3.25 grade-point average and also carry at least 14 credit hours.
Carthage student returns from project
WORCESTER, Mass. — Ryanne Dailey of Carthage, a member of the class of 2017 majoring in chemical engineering at Worcester Polytechnic Institute, recently completed an intense, hands-on research project in Moscow Project Center. The project was titled “Identifying Moscow Students’ Career Choice Motivations.”
At WPI, all undergraduates are required to complete a research-driven, professional-level project that applies science and technology to addresses an important societal need or issue.
Student attains dean’s list
POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. — Autumn Kish of Norway has been named to the Marist College dean’s list for the fall 2015 semester
She is a member of the Class of 2017 and is majoring in political science.
Quinnipiac University dean’s list
HAMDEN, Conn. — The following area students were named to the dean’s list at Quinnipiac University for fall 2015:
Auburn: Danielle Gagne and Ian McCracken.
Lewiston: Forrest Chicoine.
To qualify, students must earn a grade point average of at least 3.5 with no grade lower can C. Full-time students must complete at least 14 credits in a semester, with at least 12 credits that have been graded on a letter grade basis to be eligible. Part-time students must complete at least six credits during a semester.
Anissa Dann of Hiram on dean’s list
SPRINGFIELD, Ohio — Wittenberg University regularly recognizes students who maintain high educational standards. Anissa Dann of Hiram maintained a 3.5 or higher grade point average for the 2015 fall semester and earned a place on the dean’s list.
Merrimack College dean’s list for fall
NORTH ANDOVER, Mass. — Merrimack College has announced the names of students who have achieved dean’s list status for fall 2015. To be named to the dean’s list, a student must earn a 3.25 GPA or higher based on a 4.0 grading system.
