1936 – 2016

WILMINGTON, N.C. — Philippe Bertrand Paré, 79, of Jacksonville, N.C., died on Wednesday, Feb. 24, at New Hanover Regional Medical Center in Wilmington, N.C.

He was born in Lewiston on March 28, 1936.

He is survived by his wife, Rizalina Ares Paré; son, Eric Paré of Hobucken, N.C.; and daughter, Laura Paré of Salt Lake City, Utah.; stepson, Jared Goldsborough of Winston Salem, N.C.; stepdaughter, Makayla Goldsborough; and stepson, Edward Goldsborough of Greensboro, N.C.

Philippe served in the U.S. Marine Corps for 33 years, retiring as a master gunnery sergeant.
