1922 – 2016
LEWISTON — Marie G. Dennison, 94, passed away on Thursday, March 3, at her home, surrounded by her family.
She was born Jan. 15, 1922, the daughter of Edouard and Emelia Trembley Ouellette. Educated in local schools, she was a graduate of Edward Little, and attended Bliss College and Pelletier’s Beauty School. She became a hair stylist at a young age and continued doing hair into her 70s at her shop on Webber Avenue.
In 1945, she met her future husband, Lionel B. Dennison, and they married in 1947. They had 25 great years together before he died in 1973, at age 59. She loved music, friends and family, and hosted many large holiday parties/meals at her house. She enjoyed her job and had lots of fun with her customers.
Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Ann and Pete Michaud of Lewiston; three sisters, Carmen Jutras, Aurella and Laurianne Ouellette; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her parents; her husband, Lionel; two brothers, Edouard and Camille; one sister, Rita; and one brother-in-law, Marcel.
