1928 – 2016

LEWISTON — Doris Irene Caron, 88, of 102 Campus Ave., Lewiston died peacefully on Saturday, Feb. 27, at d’Youville Pavilion, following a long illness.

She was born in Rochester, N.H., on Feb. 4, 1928, the daughter of the late Harold and Medora E. (Gousse) Eaton and had been a resident of this community for most of her life.

She was educated in Auburn schools and was a graduate of Edward Little High School, Class of 1945.

She was employed for many years as a fancy stitcher in the local shoe industry until her retirement.

She was a member of the New Auburn Senior Citizens, Ladies of St. Anne and a parishioner of Sacred Heart Church. Doris enjoyed reading and watching television.

She is survived by a daughter, Diane Farrish of Beckley, W.Va.; and a grandson, Michael Farrish of Beckley, W.Va.
