LIVERMORE FALLS — Main-Land Development Services Inc. announces the hiring of Joseph Stevenson to be the new director of the environmental sciences department.

Stevenson will manage that department along with performing permitting, wetland and soils work on Main-Land projects. He is a licensed Maine forester, and he will use his knowledge of the forestry industry by offering forestry services to our clients.

Stevenson grew up in Wayne on his parent’s commercial strawberry farm. He graduated from Maranacook Community High School and received a Bachelor of Science degree in forestry from the University of Maine at Orono.

He has worked for the Maine Forest Service managing natural resources, working in and around wetland features, among many other duties. He has also worked with a large paper company in Maine, implementing forest management activities on a large spectrum of land ownership types and objectives.

He lives in Fayette with his wife and their three daughters.
