1956 – 2016

AUBURN — Lawrence S. Catlin, 60, a resident of Oak Hill Road, Wales, passed away on Tuesday evening, March 15, at Hospice House in Auburn.

He was born in Brunswick on Jan. 23, 1956, the son of Lawrence H. and Beatrice Goodnow Catlin. Larry attended Brunswick schools and was a graduate of Morse High School in Bath. On Oct. 10, 1981, in Wales, he and Nancy Polley were married; Nancy passed away in January.

Larry worked many different jobs — J. Brush as a handle clerk, a grinder and then as an electrician at Bath Iron Works in Bath. Larry enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, spending time with his children and his grandchildren.

He is survived by his three sons, Scott Catlin of Wales, Brandon Catlin of Litchfield and George Catlin of Wales; two daughters, Jennifer Petersen and her husband, Mike, of Litchfield, and Sonya Koss and her husband, Aaron, of Gardiner; his grandchildren, Mya, Damon and Julien; a sister, Betty Catlin of Cundy’s Harbor; and several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his parents, Lawrence and Beatrice Catlin; and his wife, Nancy Catlin.
