1953 – 2016
AUBURN — Jeannine Celine Fontaine, 62, of Auburn, passed away peacefully in her home on Monday, March 14.
She was born in Lewiston on Aug. 23, 1953, to Louis J. Fontaine and Bernadine M. Fontaine.
Jeannine is survived by her mother, Bernadine Fontaine; son, Brendan Clohosey Fontaine; daughter-in-law, Faith Fontaine; grandchildren, Grace Fontaine, Hope Fontaine and Maximus Fontaine; niece, Elizabeth Bair; nephew, Nathaniel Carey; and niece, Molly Carey.
Jeannine was predeceased by her father, Louis Fontaine; and sister, Loudine Carey.
Jeannine graduated from Rumford High School in 1971 and went on to become a registered and certified radiologic technologist with Maine Medical Center.
Jeannine worked for the Central Maine Medical Family of hospitals and helped to open and manage the offices of Russell G. Woods Eye Care.
Jeannine loved life and lived for her mother, son, grandchildren and family more than anything. She loved celebrating her milestones with Maine lobsters and loved the beaches of St. Maarten. She loved traveling, her horses, finding gemstones, landscaping, making jewelry and watching her grandchildren’s athletic events.
