1958 – 2016

AUBURN — Thomas J. Murphy Jr., 57, of Auburn died unexpectedly on Saturday, March 26, at his residence.

Tom was born on Nov. 25, 1958, in Tonawanda, N.Y., the son of Thomas Sr. and Eleanor (Duprey) Murphy. He was a graduate of Edward Little High School.

Tom worked for many years as a stone mason, general contractor, roofing and also worked for Murphy Studios taking school pictures.

He enjoyed gardening, cooking, watching old Westerns and football, the family camp and spending time with his beloved dog, Peanut. Tom also loved kids and helping the less fortunate. He was very kind hearted and had many friends.

He is survived by his daughters, Laci Caouette and her husband, and Leea Murphy; mother, Eleanor; brother, Phillip Murphy; sisters, Cristel Murphy, Deborah Murphy and husband, Dale Brown; grandchildren, Aiden, Ava, Emma, Liam, Madison and Ally; many nieces, nephews and cousins; and many grandnieces and grandnephews.

Tom was predeceased by by his father, Thomas Sr.; and son, Lucas Murphy.
