FARMINGTON — A Nebraska man pleaded guilty Tuesday in Franklin County Superior Court to breaking into three convenience stores in Jay, New Vineyard and Weld last summer. He is one of four men charged in the burglaries.

Einer A. Bonilla, 22, of Grand Island, Neb., pleaded guilty to three felony counts of burglary, and two misdemeanor counts of theft by unauthorized taking or transfer, Assistant District Attorney Joshua Robbins said.

The case was continued for sentencing, he said. The date had not been set.

A conviction on each of the burglaries carries up to five years in prison and a $5,000 fine.

Bonilla and co-defendants Duane C. Bailey, 28, of Carver, Mass., D’Kota R. Rowe, 21, of Wilton and Devon Pease, 23, of Jay are accused of breaking into Skoolhouse Variety in Weld during the late hours of June 30, 2015. They are also accused of breaking into My Dad’s Place in Jay and Our Village Market in New Vineyard in the early hours of July 1.

Among the items stolen were cigarettes and alcohol, police said.

The cases of Bailey, Rowe and Pease have not been resolved.

In an unrelated case, the four co-defendants are also accused of intentionally setting fire to a residence at 9 Sewall St. in Wilton on June 27, 2015. They each face two felony counts of arson in the case and a felony charge of conspiracy to commit arson.

Bonilla, Bailey and Rowe are also accused of intentionally setting fire to a home on Winter Hill Road in Carthage the same day. They face two more counts of felony arson in that case.

The arson cases have not been resolved.

A conviction on each of the arson charges is punishable by up to 30 years in prison and a $20,000 fine.
