LEWISTON — Theresa Provencher Lessard, 86, of Fisher Avenue, Lewiston died Friday, May 6 unexpectedly at her home.
She was born in Auburn on Nov. 3, 1929 a daughter of the late Charles and Laura (Beaucage) Provencher. She was educated in Auburn and then started working in local shoe shops, retiring from Dorie Shoe as a heal sealer.
Theresa married her true love, Romeo Lessard on July 3, 1954 and they settled in Lewiston, eventually moving to Fisher Avenue to raise their three sons. She was a member of Holy Family Church, Horizon 55 and Covenant 50.
She leaves her three sons, Paul L. Lessard and his wife, Mona, of Buckfield, Robert L. Lessard and his wife, Joyce, of Greene and Richard N.L. Lessard and his wife, Cindy, of Greene; a special niece, Dolly Long; her five grandchildren, Benjamin, Joshua, Laura, Trevor and Zachary; two great-grandchildren, Lyedin and Holdin; and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband, Romeo; her two sisters, Rolande Desjardin and Lauretta Morin; and a grandson, Christopher Lessard.
