LEWISTON — Evan Conner Gallagher has been awarded a $1,000 scholarship by Lewiston Municipal Federal Credit Union.

He is the son of Brian and Ruth Gallagher.

While attending Poland Regional High School, Gallagher was the state champion for Class B indoor track and field, as well as a captain on the varsity baseball team. He attained the rank of Eagle Scout while participating in Boy Scouts of America.

He will attend the University of Utah in the fall and pursue a degree in economics.
