1936 – 2016

WALSH, Colo. — Lola Ann Murdock, 79, died peacefully at the Walsh Health Care Nursing Home on Friday, Feb. 26.

Lola was born in Lewiston to Joseph and Marie “Louise” (Auger) Murdock. In 1955, she graduated from Monmouth Academy, joined the Army in July and became a nurse’s assistant stationed at West Point. Discharged from the Army in 1960, she returned to Maine attending classes for IBM Machines.

In 1961, she moved to Denver and worked for Jeppesen Sanderson, Inc. for 35 years as a PC specialist.

Lola is survived by her companion, Geraldine Hamilton; her brother, Roland Murdock and his wife, Rita, of Windsor Locks, Conn.; her sister, Dolores Chaloux of Arlington, Va.; a sister-in-law, Barbara Murdock of Leeds; and 13 nieces and nephews.

She is predeceased by her parents; brother, Eugene Murdock; and one niece.
