WOODSTOCK — Paris interim Police Chief Jeff Lange informed the Western Maine Addiction Task Force at its meeting May 11 that this would be his last meeting.

Lange has accepted a position in Wiscasset as police chief.

He was presented with an award to thank him for his time and effort with the task force.

Sgt. Matt Barker will take over as coordinator with the task force.

The group met at Crosstone Restaurant.

In other news, the group has just under $3,000 in its account from two fundraisers.

Fryeburg police now have the ability to carry Narcan, a life-saving opioid antidote, for a one-year period.

The group is also planning an event in Oxford County to raise awareness for National Recovery Month in September.
